Event Details

Come along and bring your Raspberry Pi to life! Share ideas and see talks and demos on what the people of the North West are doing with their £30 credit card sized computers...

Talks and demos are welcomed and encouraged.

The format of the event will be in the style of an 'unconference' - with talks, demos, tutorials and workshops going on throughout the day - put on by willing participants – and everyone has the freedom to attend the sessions or simply plug in their Pi and have a play with it or group up with others and share ideas. We're looking for some sponsorship money from supporters so we can lay on some food for attendees.

Sponsorship donations go towards food and all proceeds go to the MadLab's running costs!

About Madlab (Manchester Digital Laboratory)

Calling all geeks, artists, designers, illustrators, hackers, innovators and idle dreamers; the Manchester Digital Laboratory is here for you!

It’s a space you can get together with like-minded individuals and work on your urban gardening, crochet, hacking, programming, media arts, filmmaking, animating project without worrying that you’re in a library, coffee shop, pub or other unsuitable venue. We know hackers and craftspeople need work space and may need to get down and dirty – we also know sometimes you need a quiet area to present and show works to your peers. We support both activities. And we hope there will be a rich mix of individuals who’ll get out of the usual zones, the knitter talking to the software architect, the cupcake maker scheming with the laser etching builder. We know some good will come of this.
